    Default eUKhost Broadband

    Hello All,

We are in discussion with suppliers to provide our customers with a reliable broadband service.

    We have 3 simple aims:
    > Honest download and upload rates - so you know exactly what you are getting for your money !
    > Lower costs then leading providers.
    > 24/7 technical support provided by our current staff.

    Cheers all.

    Regards

    Robert King

It seems like a good idea; however I would like to see the kind of features that you would be serving before I said yes or no. For me it would depend on the connection speed that you would be providing and who the main upstream suppliers are. Also, I think it would be a good idea if you provided static IPs.

Seems a reasonable idea, depends on the packages and speeds. If there are download limits then i wouldn't switch.

EUKhost would need to get it right first time with this as people are not likely to switch to a new provider without good feedback.

Best of luck to you though.
    Kind Regards,

I'd echo what's been said. If the download limits are large enough and price low enough then maybe. There are some seemingly very good deals on the market already but when I checkout the 'upgrade' terms and costs to what I have already, then I find i'm not saving anything or not enough to warrant moving away from a service i feel secure with.
Its a tricky market to get in to I would imagine, and if you hope to cope with the support demands with current staff, then I think you'll be in for a shock. You'll probably have to double your staff at first and then expand some in the following months.

    Good luck though

Nothing will change in our existing hosting service and support.

We are trying to analyze potential of Broadband market and it seems that people rarely appreciate service of any Broadband service provider. Its quite difficult to compete with the established giants in broadband industry and using eUKhost name for such new adventure wont be good.

Our main focus is to setup our owned Datacenter by the end of next year or early 2009 as we are experts in hosting industry and not Broadband

If you can beat a 20MB connection with unlimited downloads .

I'd take it into consideration .

I was looking for other available services to offer our customers and this is one i stumbled across however with much investigation there is no way possible to beat the big guns in this market.

Thanks for all the feedback and this is one idea that will not be going through.

Data center all the way woohoo.

    Kind Regards

The way eukhost.com is growing fast I too think it woluld be best to set-up own datacenter managed by their own staff.

Yes, definitely a great idea. After all, you might not be able to compete in the broadband market but your definitely one of the front runners in the web hosting market!

The only problem was we would only make 10% profit (rrp) and set up costs per customer. Also our prices would still be higher than the top market leaders .

Maybe in the future we could look into this but the profit margin is to low for the amount of work our staff would be required to carry out.

Yes I can understand that - and people who are already established can always afford to offer the product lower than their competitors most of the time.
