    Default Cloud Server queries

Hi.....I'm interested in a Cloud Server after I saw the details on WHT.

My situation is I'm a Brit web developer living in Spain......I don't sell hosting, I just host the sites that I build for my clients.

My current VPS is with one of the big US companies.....who are excellent. However.....all my clients are Spain or UK based, and their target market is mainly UK. And unfortunately my current provider cannot provide a UK server.

I have around 120 accounts taking up around 15GB on my current CPanel VPS, so am I correct is assuming that EUKHOST can migrate these for me at no additional cost?

What sort of setup time is normal for provisioning a new account.......and what would be the expected timeframe needed for migrating the current VPS over?

Also, I'd be interested in any feedback from existing clients on how they find the cloud hosting environment compared to a traditional setup.

    Any advice or help appreciated!

Yes, our VPS support department can migrate the data for you if you choose cPanel/WHM control panel with one of our Linux Cloud Servers. You won't have to pay additional charges for migration

Generally, a Cloud VPS setup process takes 3-4 hours after we receive the payment and the order is verified. When it comes to data migration, we won't be able to give you the timeframe for it as it depends on the network speed. However, we will be able to proceed with the migration as soon as the setup process is completed. You can also specify the time for migration as per your convenience

    Hi XTremo,

Welcome to eUKhost.com forum community ..!

You're at the right place. Eukhost does provide hosting accounts on servers located in UK. Our servers are located in Blue Square Datacenter, Maidenhead, County Berkshire, UK along with 100mbps network port with 2N + 1 UPS System. You're clients for sure would have much more faster speed on these servers with high performance. Cloud VPS Hosting is based on VMWare virtualization technology using the "parity checksum" concept which is used in RAID5 or RAID6.

This would provide 100% uptime on VPS hosting.

Yes, we'll migrate the account for you. We have expertise in migration of servers and we will make ensure smooth migration for your VPS when you are account is setup with us and ready for the migration. We now follow a new migration policy which makes our staff members to check all settings on old servers and implement those on new servers before making websites go live from the new server. We request to keep the website live at the old host until the migration is complete and that the data/account is completely migrated without any issues is confirmed by you.

Migration is totally FREE, No additional/hidden charges. There's no exact ETA that can be defined for migration, however, as you say there are 120 accounts to be migrated then it would take minimum 24hrs and maximum 48hrs. The migration team will keep you updating about the migration status and inform you if more time is required for migration. You may open Live Chat sessions anytime for the current status, we're available 24X7 round the clock all the calender days.

The hosting account would be setup in couple of hours after the order is received, payments are confirmed & account is verified by our Phone Support Department. Please go ahead and place the order from the online ordering system & grab the benefit of faster speed for your websites at eUKhost.com.
    Best Regards,

    Bryan Oscar

We do have weekly backups but that is for our security purpose. Alternatively, you may consider one of our backup plan for automated backups. We can configure daily, weekly backups as per your requirements.

You may check our backup plans at Offsite Backup Service | Backup Solutions | Remote Data Backups

    Hi I'm back!

I'm meeting with my business partner this weekend.

After looking at most choices I think I've narrowed it down to two.

Your VPS cloud or a clustered.net vps

I've heard your support is outsourced, but any reading customers give any verdicts on euk support?

    How does VMware work?
Is any part of the server shared or do you have set resources?

When ordering, say I had a reseller account allready called
    reseller.co.uk

    do I order for

    server1.reseller.co.uk

or do I obtain a new domain name something different eg:
    server1.mynewukserver.co.uk

    and place

reseller.co.uk as a reseller on there with private nameservers?
as then I can setup another reseller on there if I want to setup different brands?

    Finally

as clustered is my other option, how would you sell yourself above them?

    Cheers

    Hey!
in terms of support from EUKhost - I'd generally give it thumbs up! Some members of staff are more helpful than others for sure - just search the forum for Cristiano, you'll see what I mean
I'm on a Cloud VPS (the cheaper one) and I've had literally zero problems - Eukhost migrated etc perfectly, and have been most helpful even if things were my mistake!

So I'd say go for it, from my experience

eUKhost has never outsourced its support nor will we ever think of doing so. We have our owned office in India and Durham, some of our staff members are based in Leeds and some work from the Datacenter in Maidenhead.

    How does VMware work?

For this new Cloud VPS Hosting environment, we have setup a cluster of five servers; four active servers and one standby server, along with one controller server with failover solution to ensure 100% uptime and redundancy. Out of these 5 servers, 1 server will always remain as a standby server and won't host any data. A replica of all the hosted accounts will be created on each of the remaining four active servers.

In the case of a failure with any one of the four active servers in the cluster, all the hosted virtual servers will function from any of the remaining three active servers. The controller server will take care of the switch over and ensure that all virtual servers function from one of the remaining three active servers. All four active servers are also equipped with Redundant Shared Storage with RAID 10, so disk failure on any individual server will not result in that individual server becoming unavailable.

You can change the name servers and and modify them as per your requirements.

    Finally

I can assure the quality of service we offer. The support we offer is 24x7 through Phone, Helpdesk and Live Chat. You can contact us anytime you wish for technical assistance.

    Hope this helps
