Default Creating Reseller packages on VPS

    Hey there,

I have a client who is looking for VPS and wondering if she can create Reseller accounts on VPS for her customers. If yes, can her clients get WHM to manage their customers?

yes, with a vps you will have access to the root whm and reseller centre, here you can setup reseller accounts with eg space and bandwidth limits etc, your resller would then get their own version of WHM to create their own client accounts in.

What if she doesn't need cPanel/ WHM? Can it be still done without control panel ?

And how the reseller customer can manage it's account?

Anyway i don't think that there is a way to do that because the Control Panel is responsible for an account to be named (and privileged) with reseller abilities

I have build my portal www.istories.gr

With cPanel/WHM as the control panel, a VPS will have a root WHM Panel. WHM is also accessible to users with reseller privileges. Reseller WHM's will however have a smaller set of features than the root user.

    Hello Manos,

Creating a reseller account is nothing but allowing access of specific part/resources of your server to another user. Resources includes memory, bandwidth, disk quota, number of web sites, number of databases, email accounts, access of services, etc. WHM knows it better how to manage all these things quickly.
Yes, you can figure it out without WHM but without a control panel, you need to create users, allocate memory, allocate rights and all other hosting related privileges manually.
Think how difficult it would be to manage these tasks without a control panel
With a control panel all these tasks can be completed within minutes where as it may take about hour to complete it on a server having no control panel.
There are several such tasks which can be managed by control panel only if its a production server.

Thank you for your reply guys!

Yes, cPanel/WHM makes it easy. I have asked her to go for the control panel. Waiting for the deal there
