    Default Free Hosting Company

    I've a question this morning

I've been considering hosting my site with a free web hosting company, but I'm a lot concerned with their reliability, Uptime, Security, Website Performance and other basic aspects . Can you shed some light on this? Why I should not trust these companies.

    Cheers

Default Basic facts about free webhosting company

Free Web hosting Companies services are highly unreliable and could care less if your site goes down or any technical issues arises. Its highly recommended NEVER host an e-commerce web site with a free hosting service. Their main concern is with their advertisers and marketing. As long as their ads / banners are running, for the most time, they're least bother about your website.

In addition, Web sites hosted with such companies look very unprofessional and takes lot of time to load. If you've taken the time to get your own web site designed and your own a domain name, why would one risk their success and host with a free web hosting services. Its pointless.

Yeah, I agree with Zain. It goes back to the saying "you get what you pay for". Free hosting companies may be ok for the most basic of personal websites where if they're offline there's no problem for you.

But for anything remotely important or any business website it is better to consider paid hosting options.

And prices are very reasonable. Have a look at the shared hosting prices at eUK. They're fairly cheap and you get great service .

Right, on an importance scale of 0 to 10 if you rate your website to -1 then only you should choose free web hosting !!!

Absolutely, if your intention is to cut down on the IT cost such as hosting, its support etc. one should definitely consider opting for a company that offers free hosting service, rather just the webspace, no service

But, if you do care for your website and want to make a living out of it, a paid host is what you should look forward to. As stated by DPS, you can actually find a number of affordable web hosting plans offered these days, and one amongst them is eUKhost. Moreover, you cannot expect a better service from a host that takes nothing from you (for namesake), why take such an obligation, when you deserve better.

Most definitely, just to add, it can actually "cost" you a lot more than you think in the long run using a free hosting provider rather than a paid one.

Don't forget, first impressions mean everything! Both in real life and online. If you launch a site that is constantly going down with poor service then even if you switch to a paid host in the future, the damage could already be done! .
