  1. Default LB-02 Backup failure

I have a problem with my LB-02 backup service. Although I get a daily message to say that a backup has been carried out, comparison of my installed directory against the LB-02 directory shows this is not the case. Indeed the last date of backup I can be certain of was sometime in late September.

I would like someone to look into this and advise me whether [a] the backup destination has been changed (I haven't been notified of this) or [b] the backup facility has failed - in which case please rectify.

I raised a support ticket 36 hours ago but so far have not had any response.

    Alan

    Dear Alan,

The Ticket : WLB-930-38767 has been replied. Victor has well described the issue in the reply and as it seems, you are low on backup space which is causing the problem. Though we can see that the backup was successfully taken on the 14th Nov. 2011.

Also, as explained in the ticket, there are two backup files observed under your backup plan viz. the entire account (/home/a***c**x) and the databases which are backed up in the folder as stated in the ticket, while there is another folder that has the same backup which is unnecessary eating up the space of 371Mb.

So, we'd request you to kindly consider the suggestion given by Victor and revert for any further assistance on this. We would be glad to help you with it.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Stan

    Hi Stan
I am continuing to discuss this problem via the ticket which is still open.

I would be grateful for clarification of an associated issue. I have been able to carry out a backup of the actual working site using my ftp program from the server to my PC. However I cannot find a way to access the database files on the actual working site. Is this possible? It would give me an alternative to using the LB-02 backup space.

Ticket : WLB-930-38767 has been replied and the issue has been fixed.

  7. Default LB-02 Backup failure - now fixed

I can happily report that I checked my LB-02 backup space this morning and confirmed that the working web site had been backed up overnight. I have also confirmed that the backup is up to date and synchronised with the working site. I did this by copying the whole backup to my own off site MoWeS installation and confirmed that it worked from my USB drive.

Yesterday I received this message to confirm the original nature of the problem:

"There was an issue with SSH key between the backup server & the hosting server which has been fixed. "

    All's well that ends well.
