Linux shared hosting question

I've been signed on to a linux shared hosting package for a while now, generally bouncing up and down the packages as I have needed them, anyway here's my questions

Could you outline the specs of the servers that linux shared hosting is handled by? Additionally could you let me know roughly how many people are on these shared servers. y'know, 50 100 etc etc.

Good recommendations mildred, I like the creative way to advertise opposition, but still doesn't answer my question.
