    Default No Valid MX Record

    Not sure if this is inright place but hopefully it will get an answer

    Recently whilst trying to register for a forum I got the following error message

    The entered e-mail domain has no valid MX record.

    is there a way to fix this??

    Is this a PHPBB forum ? Try this :

    Login to the Admin control panel > General tab -> Server configuration -> Security settings > Disable the following..

    Check email domain for valid MX record: If enabled, the email domain provided on registration and profile changes is checked for a valid MX record..

    You'd be all good.. Best luck !

    i`m guessing if he`s trying to register for it he won't have admin access......

    Correct

    I am assuming that because my domain is on eukhost then others would have had this problem as well

    I suppose the other part to the question is: What is an MX record?, and why is mine invalid??

    Can you provide us the domain name in question? The one used for registering over here is with 1 and 1. Are you using the same or a different one..?

    MX is short for Mail Exchanger, this is a type of DNS record, necessary for mail transactions.. Please read through the following for complete information on MX records. We can check what is wrong with your domain & it's DNS records once we receive the particular information..
