Shared Hosting gives you a portion of a dedicated server, so that you are paying for what you need in terms of disk space and bandwidth. The resources of the server you are on are shared amongst the other users of that server.

Dedicated Hosting gives you an entire server, which you have full control over the software and applications that are installed on it (all legal of course!) All of the resources are available for you to use.

Reliability, uptime and a money back guarantee are the primary parameters for judging a web hosting provider. But if you choose to host your website with Eukhost, you have nothing to worry about . This statement is well backed-up with the testimonials that their customers have posted, which should give you a fair idea about the credibility of this host.

We would appreciate if you could keep the discussion limited to eUKhost on this forum. If you wish to discuss about other hosting companies, then I would suggest you to join few other hosting forums like WHT, DP etc.

I love when I hear people talk about needing a dedicated server when they really do not. I am not sure if its ego or just wanting to have the most. I am all for shared for my personal site. I know what it takes to run it and I am not greedy.

Comparing shared hosting with dedicated server hosting seems like comparing Lemon with Orange or whatever...Each hosting type stands for different purpose and you need to be genius to choose the right one for you. That's it...

One need not be a genius to identify the right type of hosting for a website, you may seek help from your website designer/developer or you may get in touch with the hosting provider with whom you intend to host your website. They can be the best people to suggest you the best solution for your website.

True to a point, two points really. Its apples not lemons (wow that was sour). Secondly, what happens if you needs change at a random time? Not everyone has the same needs year after year, think about people doing start up companies, companies that change hands over the years, etc.
