Thumbs down New client area WT*

Why is the client area changed? Why fix something that wasn't broken?

I am sorry to vent but the support and client area does not work for me at all.

with all this new fancy Web2 pop ups and login/passwords that looks odd on my system (Linux/FF4) I still haven't figured out how I manage to login into my account.

    For example:

I (always) use this URL to go to the support and ticket area, it's a bookmark:

    https://support.eukhost.com/

Now this page shows "Text Goes here "

The GUI is very confusing, you've got 2 menu bars, so I decided to use the "Login Here" located on the second menu bar (on the right).

A pop up window appears, I type my login, the window DISAPPEARs then I have to click on "Login Here" AGAIN to type my password then my login and password is INVALID! This obviously does not work for me...

So I use my other bookmark: https://www.eukhost.com/ehostbill/accountdetails.php

I am faced with a login/password form which works (thank god) then I click on the Support button (the big one next to "Account manager") and I get back to the "Text Goes here " page... Hello??

Oh but hang on, this page actually has a menu bar with a ticketing link, well done.

But NOOO, if I click on View ticket, it asks me to LOGIN again (must have timed out)! So which button do I choose mmmhh LOGIN or "Login Here", , let's try login...

Woah, here's my "CUSTOMER AREA" page, so I am LOGGED IN after all .

Sorry to rave and rant but I think you need to revise your GUI as it's, I am afraid to say, all over the place.

    Consistency please....

Now still trying to figure out how I can see my old tickets...., I gues that's going to take me most of the day to figure out

    Hi Scothorse,

Apologies for the inconvenience you have had trying to access your 'Client Area' and 'Support System'. We have recently changed our Support Ticket System to Kayako and the Billing System/Client Area to eHostbill.

Since the new helpdesk system Kayako and the old system are completely different, the login details of the old system do not work for the new system.

To get started with the new helpdesk, all you need to do is fill in the form at http://support.eukhost.com/index.php...Password/Index which will create your account on the new helpdesk.

We were not able to migrate the old tickets to this newer version due to compatibility issues & the huge database size so unfortunately you won't be able to view the old tickets after logging to this new system. If any customer replies to any of the old tickets, they will then open on the new helpdesk.

For submitting a new ticket, you can access the page by visiting https://support.eukhost.com >> click on 'Submit A Ticket' >> choose the relevant department >> Next.

For the new billing system, the login details will remain the same as on the old system.

Please feel free to post if you are still facing any problems or you need any assistance. I'll get in touch with our design team and see how we can make the GUI more user friendly.

Ok thanks. still got an "Invalid or expired hash" when I logged in.

Why oh why people feel that it's a good idea to change systems, especially with a wonky one called Kayako (which does not hold water well ) baffles me.

Please PM me the email address that you wish to register for the support system so I can check what is the problem. Accordingly I'll create an account/reset the password on your behalf.

I'm surprised to know that you're still able to login in spite of receiving this error.. but if you can provide us with the email address & other details, we'll get that error part fixed for you...
