    Default Typo 3 Error Message

    Hi,

I'm very new to Typo3 and I'm trying to update some content on a page. When I click on the pencil icon I get the error message ''ERROR: File not written to disk! Write permission error in filesystem?''

Could anyone point me in the direction as to the problem and let me know the solution?

    Any help gratefully recieved!

    Many thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

The error occurs because the web user doesnt have correct permissions to write the files within your site for certain operations. You'd need write permissions on the Typo3 installation folders for the files to be written into. Please grant proper permissions on the necessary folders or rather open up a ticket with our support dept, so that we can have this sorted out quickly & correctly
