    Default Ajax error in cPanel on email account list with Mac

    This may be a problem at our end, but I don't know enough about it to work it out.

    I've been using cPanel very successfully for the last few months and have mnaged to set up just about everything I want - it has been easy to use and reliable.

    I've just started using a Mac (rather than PCs). Straight out of the box using Safari, almost everything is fine except that when I view cpanel.**mydomain.**/frontend/x3/mail/pops.html, the bit where the list of e-mail addresses set up comes up with a Ajax error message so I cannot make any changes to exising accounts.

    If I view the page at the same time on the PC, they are there.

    Any thoughts, or what additional information might help someone understand the problem?

    Why do the other Ajax bit work if there is a Safari problem?

    I don't know - maybe it's not the Ajax bit that is causing Safari the problem - maybe it's some other problem that Safari has with that page that then causes the Ajax bit to not work.

    There is also a link on the page to a non-Ajax version of it - try that (or get a decent browser eg Firefox
    )

    Noted. We are not here to sort out browser coders problems.

    I had missed the "less Javascript" link, thanks for pointing it out to me. I'll give that a go Or try an alternative.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ah ha. The non Java link works fine, but for others with the same problem, I found a setting in Utilities which is called Java Preferences. It appears that it was not starting the "Java Console". Now it is and it all works fine.

    Safari is quick and easy. I just had the java problem and was given the Ajax error. The answer for me was to go to the Safari Menu/Reset Safari.
    I did a reset and not only do my java settings work but Safari is a bit faster to boot.
