Does anyone know if it is possible to make text into an image ?

I was thinking about making user's mail adresses into images, because some say there are scanners on the internet, scanning for mailadresses and then sending spam to the mail-adress. - Don't know if this is still a problem, or if spamfilters can take care of such problems.


Another way to do it is obiously to make a form on the website where users can send a mail to the users adress, but i don't like the idé of people being able to send mails from my website anonnymously
