    Question Changing the password on a mysql database ?

    Anyone know of a simple way to change a mysql database password, but still keeping the account password the same please ?

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Chris,

    MySQL user has different password than account's control panel. If you have Cpanel then you need to add same mySQL user with new password so it will change password for that user and if you have plesk panel then you can change mySQL user's password from Home >> Domains >> example.com >> Databases >> db_name >> then click on username to change password.

    Default Mysql Database Password

    databases don't have passwords, users do. find the user you're using to access it and change their password.
