I have a question about Wordpress Admin Account

It seems like I have lost my admin password to my wordpress blog. I tryed to send a reset password message but I did not get any email notification. I kind of remember that the admin account in wordpress is a special case and that you cannot loose the password for that account. Is this right? Does this mean I will have to rebuild my wordpress from the ground up? I mean, will I have to reinstall everything?

Hi,

Simplest way if you have forgot your admin password.

Firstly access the database via PHPMyAdmin, update your email address and then request a lost password.

Alternatively, setup a demo installation, and set a password to get an MD5 encrypted password that you know, then simply copy and paste the password over the old one.

For both solutions, you will need to use PHPMyAdmin, which you will have access to through your control panel.

There is nothing to worry even if you have lost the Admin password of your WordPress site. You must be having with you, the login details of the control panel, you can access the PhPMyAdmin area from there and proceed with the exact steps that Eukhost has mentioned in their knowledgebase article here : Reset WordPress password Forcibly

Im sure you wouldn't need to look any further. If incase you've forgotten the control panel password as well, you can get in touch with the support staff of eukhost ltd. and get the passwords reset (ofcourse only if you have purchased a WordPress Hosting account from them )
