If you pay your credit card bills off in time, you wont need to worry about charges

For me it increases my buying capacity and I buy things which I really don't need at the most.

Some things are beyond your control Tom. You cant always guarantee youll pay on time. FYI, if you have two ocards, X company and Y company. And you always pay on time with both, but one month you miss with Y company but pay X company. Y company will jack your rates up and put it on your credit report. X company will see you missed with Y company and can jack your rate up too. The Credit world is a sick, twisted one.

If you setup Direct Debit payments - you can assure you wont miss any payments as it's all automated. Failing that, you can use a pre-pay credit card, or a debit card, where you won't see any such charges.

I did too. But what happens when a family member (like me) spends time in intensive care out of town. You have to pay for meals and hotels then, outside your regular budget. A credit card companys mission isnt to give you credit and keep you in good standing. It is to do whatever they can to make you go over your limit, or put you in more debt. Then fine the crap out of you in fees. they make more money in fines and fees and 32% interest than a customer with 9% interest and in good standing.

That's so true, to keep control on spending, I think it is also important to track of what you spend every month, carry some cash too along with the credit card and use the CC in emergencies only like you said you paid for meals and hotels when outside. Unless you've very high income profile don't try to get more than one card.

Yeah, Owning a credit card is a real pain. Trying to get it out of the system is also a pain.
Paying the bills is a lot of pain. What do we do.
Will the world be the same without it.

Use only a debit card/ATM card.

    Default my opinion

According to me instead of getting hacked by those Credit card vendors best is of to use ATM cards.. But the fact to be considered is that there wont be money when we are in need.. We cant blame the companies who are clearing the bills correctly without any delay or without any misinformations..... people should have to think of the facts behind both .. ATM and CREDIT CARDS....

Well, if you are pretty good in handling the problems then I think you shall try to use the "facilities" available

Credit Card plays an important role when you are really in need and no one around is ready to help you with. If you use multiple Credit Cards then there shall not be any problem.

Certainly, you cannot say that multiple Credit Cards will create a problem for you. The most important thing is planning your expenses

Basically, Credit card providers want you to use it in excess as they will earn more money if you use it in excess. Hence, you should make sure that you do not cross the limit which will help you to save money. You should use a Credit card only in emergency cases.

Well, it is not necessary that you use Credit Card only in emergency. Getting more credit to use on a Card and managing to use multiple Credit Cards will not only help you to use money but also help you to make sure you have paid all the bills on time
