    Recently i read a post about " Geotagging " and was impressed the way it works but i had never used it just wondering if anyone had ever tried placing such geotag on their website/images for targeting Geo traffic traffic ? Any change have you seen for your website traffic using such tag ?

    Good for LBS ( location based services ) that can enable you to provide location-specific information to your users. Geotagger Trippermap network are commonly used by Flickr users which let them "geotags" to their Flickr photos. I've used it for one of my photograph at flickr which is from a resort, if someone search that specific resort, it will show my flickr page on the top of the search results for the local search engine.

    Geo tagging is nothing a simple method of marking a video, photograph or any other media with a geographic location. This basically helps people find images and information based on a particular geo-location.

    A simple HTML code can be inserted in your website by using specific standards in communicating the exact location to be attached to the HTML. Below is the code for geotagging HTML :

    <div class="geo">GEO:
    <span class="latitude">37.386013</span>,
    <span class="longitude">-122.082932</span>
    </div>

    There's not special code which you can use for Geotagging your images rather you can add Geotag data manually by entering latitude, Longitude details into your photogragh (EXIF tag) using some special software.
    You can also take help of GPS tools to log the exact location of the photograph you had captured.
    There are many advance digital cameras which are now equipped with a GPS facility to record this data(GEOTAG) automatically for your photographs.

    Refer :- mapability.com/blogs/gps/2007/09/how-to-geotag-photos.html

    PS :- I have searched Google for Geotagging images and found above info. Hope this helps you !
