    Default Optimizing parked domains

How to promote and optimize parked domains? I wonder if we could optimize them as we do with live websites. If we wrote an article with some links to our parked domains inserted and submit it to an article directory, do you think it wouldn't annoy the readers?

Usually domains are parked for redirecting to some other website, earning few cents through advertisements, or to protect your domain from domain cybersquatters.
Parked domains are not real websites hence we can't optimize them.
If you use such parkdomain links within your articles then surely you would be annoying your audience.

I have only used them for redirects as well but I wonder if its possible. I also ended up with a huge mistake of taking a site down (content wise) doing a park/redir and then poof my SEO went away, it almost ran away the hits I lost. Uggg, never doing that one again.

Yeah, avoid parking any live domain else it's for sure you will have to sacrifice it's ranking & backlinks it may have.
Usually we park brand new domains which are not fully developed to go live...

Depends on what was the most basic purpose of buying a domain name? IMO, parking domain may worth if you have 200-300 or more domain names.
