    Default White lies of SEO

    I came across an interesting post on a Blog about white lies,
    Where the author considers the following terms as white lies and says they are misleading:
    Create quality content,
    Don't buy or sell links,
    Create your website hosting for users, not for search engines.
    Well IMO these are the general business terms or the most commonly used terms and can’t be misleading.

    Right Dave, these are the primary guide-lines to make a website hosting loaded and I don’t know what the author must be thinking when he/she mentioned this. I mean this is what everyone is doing for their website hostings if they want the website hostings to come on top of the SERP.

    How can somebody teach like that. These are the basic terms to rank well in search engines and their is no point in avoiding those. IMO, one should design website hosting either for users or search engines.

    Well, if the author believes that these terms are just white lies of SEO and are misleading people, I would like to know from him what is the truth and what are original steps to be followed in proper SEO? Agreed, SEO is not just about these steps but a lot more steps and methodologies are involved but just discarding these guidelines as 'white lies' is not right.
