Wow thanks Gareth.

We had been hacked earlier today and could not find how they had got into our dedicated server. Gareth went through the problem thoroughly and identified the likely areas of weakness. He then tightened up the whole server security and walked me through what he had done so that I can make changes myself in future.

I understand a hundred times better now than I did before and once the scan has finished I will be a lot more secure. The old proverb "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." comes to mind. I am sure that at all levels our server is more secure and I am far better equipped to sort any problems in future.
