IMO. many would have a similar opinion as yours. cPanel is indeed considered to be the best control panels for Linux.

Its really a matter of choice really, some people are used to using Plesk over cPanel. Personally i find cPanel more friendly to use than Plesk.

Becomes a bit more difficult at that point for windows, there is Enkompass which is a made by the same people that make cPanel. I found the best free option is dotnetpanel but again Plesk is available if that is what you are used to. Best thing to do is go onto the websites for each and see if there is a free trail or demo for each panel to try

Well, personally I would recommend cPanel for Linux and Plesk for Windows. Since, Enkompass is not much old and didn't heard any reviews about it, I wouldn't recommend it to users though it is made by cPanel.

DotNetPanel (DNP) or WebSitePanel (WSP) are good choices for going on with Windows in an initial phase, but it's definitely Plesk when it comes to reliability

I use cpanel only becaues it is what I am really use to. One of the top performance/feature rich/secured control panel isn't mentioned much but it is interworx. It rocks! and is getting support from many of the billing systems these days as well because it's becoming a major player in hosting.

cPanel is my favorite, but if you really have to use Windows servers, I found WebSitePanel (WSP) to be superior to Plesk. I can't quite get along with DotNetPanel. I think it's one of the least-friendly control panels.

It's the first time I hear about Enkompass. I'll have to look it up online...

I'd also suggest you to try out DotNet Panel for Windows. One of my favorites after Plesk

No surprise really . I've only ever used cPanel really and when I used Plesk it feels completely different to cPanel having used cPanel most of the time lol Then we get to the dotNetPanel and I've definitely never used that (no pun intended ). Might try it out just for the sake of it though at some point...

For me, cPanel is definitely the best control panel. Having said that, I don't really have any first-hand knowledge of any other control panels. It really depends in part to what you're accustomed. If you have a control panel that does everything you want, that makes it the best.

We'd usually refrain from trying out something else if we are happy with using a certain tool/technology. And when the discussion is about cPanel then what else can be anything better than that (atleast till date) for managing a Linux hosting account.

I probably use about five percent of what cpanel offers in terms of features. For me, I guess it wouldn't matter if there was a more robust control panel. I still have a long way to go to make the most of cpanel.

When using windows, I would prefer to use Plesk because it is a lot more reliable. Cpanel is great to use too if you are not using Windows.

This is indeed true, most of us have started using cPanel and would never that there's no other control panel that would be better than cPanel.
