Hi Guys, rather new here, so please be gentle!
Could someone explain to me why i may want C Class Hosting - is it to do with the fact that i can get a dedicated IP address? And why would that be beneficial?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Zygor Guides,
to eUK Forums!
With Class C subnet, you get more than 250 Dedicated IPs.
Dedicated IP address (also called static IP) means that a website has its own IP address. Whether you type in your URL or the numeric form of its IP address, both will bring you to the same domain.
Hope that helps you.
Merrick is correct,
You can get 256 (254 usable) IP addresses from a Class-C range. It's useful to purchase an entire range for this purpose rather than individual addresses.![]()

Well, if you have less websites then you shouldn't consider an entire subnet for those websites as you can get dedicated IP's for those websites, however, in order to get those dedicated IP's, you need to provide proper justification (domain names for which the IP's will be used) to the hosting provider if required![]()
Thanks guys, that really helped.

Here is a brief technical explanation :
Class-C for a large no. of networks would have small no. of computers. Class-C IP address have the value in the range 192...223 which is the first octet. Class-C addresses the first octets in order to identify the network which actually means 2,080,800 addresses (networks) each of which can support 254 hosts.
Most SEO's around the world prefer having Multiple Class-C IPs.![]()
.....aaahh...some1 jst shot me :P
I guess Catherine is trying to say that, from search engine optimization point of view, inorder to get good rankings in SERP,its better that more number of website's having different IP addresses link back to the site which is being optimized. In order to accomplish this, SEO experts/firms purchase such Class C IP's in bulk from the web hosting providers.
I hope this is what Catherine meant to say.
