    Post Green Web Hosting

Green Web hosting entails a revolutionary technology which involves trees, wind power, and renewable energy. There are a multitude of companies proudly taking on the Eco-friendly technology and promoting clean renewable methods of powering their data centers. The reason behind the development of green web hosting is that consumers are greatly concerned about the human potential degrading the environment.

*The web hosts use alternative and/ or renewable energy to power their data-centers. This alternative energy generally involves trees, wind power and other renewable energies.
*They plant trees for every server sold and even telecommute to save gas. This is done to combat the effect that the functioning of a web hosting company has on the environment.
*The web hosts are devoting a lot of time, money and other resources into helping the environment stay cleaner and greener.

Interesting. Thanks for posting it here. Could you post the link to the original source of the article, cause I want to learn more about green hosting? Anyway, what are the renewable sources of energy the green web hosts are currently using?

Thanks Paul for redirecting to this thread.

So any web servers in a web hosting company that is environment-friendly can be considered as green web hosting. Will there be any major difference between green web hosting and the regular ones?

What about the price? Organic food is more expensive than the regular food so I think green web hosting is also more expensive than regular servers.
