    Others (please specify)

Well asking the services provider for discount is the best option, however you can also browse the official Blog & Forums of the hosting company to gets deals and discount coupon codes. Well most of the service providers offer good discount to their clients as a goodwill gesture so try your luck with your service provider first instead of wandering for coupon codes.

    I use both:

Browse Offer Sections on Other Hosting Forums (eg. WHT)
Search for Deals for A Specific Host

Generally I talk directly to web hosting owners they will let you know about all the running deals. Just like I ordered for a hosting plan when I saw the free domain for life time offer thread here on eukhost forums
I also go through the offers on WHT.

I prefer the 3rd option Search for Deals for A Specific Host (Company website or Company's Forums/Blogs)

    Hello,

On the Contrary to my past experiences, now there are more good host deals out there now than there has ever been. Now you really can save money using a reliable low cost hosting service, especially when you are getting started or to host additional mini-sites on additional virtual servers.

I can attest to the "cash value" of fast servers, zero downtime and innovative webmastering tools. I can also tell you that a company that stands ready to assist you - any hour of the day, any day of the week is priceless in today's web hosting industry.

If you have a problem, will you able to reach someone knowledgeable who can speak to you in language you understand? Customer service varies widely depending on the provider, and is in fact a major differentiator between the $5-a-month hosts and the $30-a-month hosts. Unless you feel very comfortable with hosting concepts and are able to ask precise technical questions, it's best to pay more for a host that offers better customer service for all levels of technical expertise.

These are the key points that i would look for.

    Regards,
    Ken.

Well, sometimes, it could be WHT Forums, however, I prefer to take advice from my friends who are already hosting their sites with the well-known hosting companies like eUKHost.

If someone has already experienced a company, (s)he is aware of the reliability and the level of support they offer. Their advice is enough for me

By the way, why to think of any other hosting company?

To find a good web hosting service, normally I would search using Google and visit web hosting/webmaster forums like Webmaster-talk, DP and other forums (not specifically in the offer sections though).
