Its really very difficult to block all your competitors from accessing your website, what if they use proxy
Apart from IP Deny manager you can block certain IPs using your firewall.

Yes, it is not an easy task to block the IPs of all your competitors. Not only that you have few competitors in the market but also it is not possible to know all your competitors. Then blocking them is too far. Well, if you want you can also try the 3rd party software available in the market to block the IPs of your competitors. However you can only install it if you own VPS, Semi-dedicated Server or a dedicated server.

Why would someone want to block the IPs of competitors? I'd have loved to showoff my new site designs, products, etc & make them feel jealxxx.. I had an impression that IPs of only those people should be blocked from accessing your site/server which turn to be nasty, ie of those who are responsible for hacking, DDoS, botnet attack, etc.. for which the firewalls such as CSF on Linux & IPSEC on Windows are good enough for doing the job..
