    Default Limiting file download speed

    Hello

Just wondering if there is any way to limit the download of a file using the Control Panel.

I am currently using some php code to send out and throttle the download - but users report it is not very reliable.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Hi Malcolm,

There is no such provision in cPanel to limit the bandwidth of a particular file, but you can limit downloads to a particular IP address in Apache server using mod_limitipconn Apache module. You can find more info here : webhostgear.com/279.html

Hi Rock, thank you for the info and link.

It looks a much better solution than I am currently using although more complex - but looks the way to go.
