Default Buying a domain for a client

    Hi

I'm wanting to buy a .com and .co.uk domain for a client and to register it in their name and business details.

I have a reseller account so have access to Enom but for simplicities sake I am wondering if I can buy it within the EUKhost site using my EUKhost account. I have got to the shopping cart stage with the domains but before I click 'Checkout' its only given me options to fill in the clients details for the .co.uk and that's only their registrant name and company number. Am I right in the order thinks I am ordering for myself so will use my details or is there more after the 'checkout'?

I don't do this too often as you can probably tell. If I can't do it as above, am I right in thinking if I do it in Enom I can register their details there and their domains will be visable in my EUKhost account.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts or advice perhaps some of you do this a lot? Also just so you know the .co.uk will be used for a website.

Also (in the belief there is no such thing as a silly question) should I put my own details into the administrator section, and the client in the registrar?

    kind regards

You can certainly register the domain for your client. Regarding .com domain you can update the domain contact details. whereas for .co.uk domain you will have to register the domain under your clients name and with his business details as it can't be changed later.

While registering .co.uk domain you will have to select the registrant type i.e as UK Individual, UK limited company, Sole trader etc. you can select it as your requirement. If you select as UK limited company you will have to mention the name of the registered company and its registration number.

    Thanks Kemp M

I ordered the .com and .co.uk domains. I filled in the bits like you said on the .co.uk as they were a ltd co and had a company number and when I clicked 'checkout' there was actually an option to enter another registrar's details so I filled out the clients details there. I'm not sure as to whether that part just relates to the .com or .co.uk or both but I'll guess I'll find out when the process is complete and I look at the details.

    Thanks again

Perfect, The "Registrant Contact" you were asked, was for .co.uk domain. The .co.uk domain requires additional registrant information which are the details of the client for whom you wish to register the domain.
