    Default Domain Parking

    Hi,

Can anyone let me know the benefits of domain parking? I have a few domains with me however I am not using them, so just curious to know if I can earn something out of it.

Ideally if you're in the business of registering Domain Names, but aren't sure what to do with them in the meantime, parking them can be a good idea.

Another form of parking domain is when you have registered a domain name similar to your primary domain, you can have it redirected to your site.

    Hope that helps

If you would like to earn some money through the domains you are not using for now, you can park the domains on the domain parking sites. There are some domain parking sites which will park your domains and will get some ads displayed on those domains. If a visitor lands up on the domain and clicks any of the ads, you'll earn something out of it (though, you shouldn't expect the amount to be high ).

This would be a good option to earn atleast some amount of money which can actually be used while renewing those domains

    Hello,

Create your own domain parking layout! For example, create relevant, fresh content using the key words of your domain, and create your own Google Adsense account on the page. This way, you garner more visitors because you don't have a static and stagnant domain. Not only that, you reap all the earnings from PPC (pay per click) then you would if you had someone else park your domains for you!

AdSense for domains allows publishers with undeveloped domains to help users by providing relevant information including ads, links and search results.

Buy domains with high parking value. These include using key words like personal finance, business, and retail services. In general, unless the domain already has a lot of monthly traffic, steer clear of abstract words or phrases.

    Regards,
    Ken.

Some people have assumption that domain parking will bring instant revenue but sadly it's not the reality, you will have to park atleast 100-200 domains or more to earn some monthly revenue.

We used it when there was a domain with almst a very similar keyword in it and we did not want to loose the traffic due to the misspell. We booked that domain as well and then parked it on our main company websites domain.

I agree with Ken about using Adsense for Domain program to monetize your unused domain and creating your own domain parking layout. Doing so, you add some value to your domain and get it looking like a live website.
