Domain Transfers

Hi there,
I have around 25 domains currently hosted with 1and1 on various packages and I am wanting to consolidate them and transfer them all, over time, to my new semi-dedicated server hosting with eukhost, and ditch 1and1 altogether. I transferred one domain yesterday as a trial and I wanted to check something about the renewals.

This was a .co.uk domain that I originally registered with 1and1 in March of this year, and its expiry date was 19/3/2010.
I paid £12 for the transfer to eukhost, which included 2 year registration of the domain.

From reading around these forums, I was expecting that the renewal date for the domain would push out to 19/3/2012 but I see that it is still 19/3/2010.

Is this correct? I had assumed that I was getting a 2 year extension to the domain for the £12.

I just want to confirm what way this is supposed to work, in terms of renewal dates, before I start into the process of transferring all my other domains.

Your domain name will get an extension by 2 years to 19/3/2012 now that the domain name has been transferred to us and you have paid the transfer fees. This however will not reflect in the whois details now as the domain name has been transferred to another registrar within the first year of its registration. The validity will show up as 19/3/2012 automatically after 19/3/2010, the previous renewal date.

That all makes sense. The only thing concerning me now is when I log in to eukhost and go to my Client Area and click on My Domains, the domain (genesiscars.co.uk) is showing with a next due date for payment of 19/03/2010.
From what you've said above I would expect the next payment due date to be 19/03/2012. Will this autocorrect itself, or do I need to open a ticket for this with each domain I transfer?

The next payment due date for genesiscars.co.uk is indeed 19/03/2012 which will auto update itself after 19/03/2010

when you transfer one domain name to another company ,the other company will charge one more year fee for renewal !
