I've heard that it does matter (in respect to SEO) where the IP address of your site is located, geographically. Are there any truth to it?

I've also heard that Google, and other search engines (not sure about that), give priority to local IPs when ranking sites for a certain geographical location.
Indeed. the IP address of your site makes a difference in the search engine ranking it will have in the search engine.
For better search engine rankings, it is advised that the IP address of your site should be from the same Country you are targeting to get more traffic and business from![]()
Where I live local domains cost more than $30. It doesn't seem like a wise investment to me in spite of its importance. I guess I'll stick to good ol' .coms for now.
