Default .ms Domain Name and Microsoft

It is quite obvious that microsoft is using .ms tld assigned for Caribbean island of Montserrat. What type of website could be considered good for registering .ms tld?

Hehe, trust them not to miss an oppertunity.

What chance has a small island got over the likes of world beating giant Microsoft? Monserrat could make a lot of money from this and sell the rights to the tld - then microsoft could transfer all their website's over their and truely own quite a piece of the Internet!

Well, Monserrat is also famous for volcanos, It will be like I am going to dance on volcano if I acquire such domain name. Better I should have .tv rather than .ms.

I would like a .ms domain name (god knows why) but I bet they cost more than normal .com domain names.

I think dos.ms and windows.ms are the best ones... What do you think?

I would think windows.ms more than dos.ms as DOS is obsolete now and not packaged with any current software, nor does any software currently use DOS.

I think window.ms could violate their trademark, rather if you go for something like life.ms than live.ms it would not violate their trademark but you've to spare $180 for registration the domain for the tld that is not popular enough.

I was more thinking for Micrsofts purposes rather than our own but I agree with your point. You think Mr Gates would have objections with bill.ms?

I guess Mr Bill have no objection if you make a web site hosting something about a billing system.
