    Question Nameservers

    Following this from support

We have checked your vps and not found any problem with security but vps is constantly exceeding it's UBC limits. I will suggest to migrate your vps to our latest hardware node. New node is having memory and disk space limit only for vps. Migration will change the ip's of your vps. Your old vps will be up and running till dns get changed to new ip address. Please let us know when you want to migrate your vps to new node.

Ok - so I've got all the domains with nameservers set to

    NS1.myVpsName.com
    NS2.myVpsNane.com

how do I avoid having to visit the registrar of every domain to change the ipaddress that is registered for nameserver (the name will remain the same)

if that isn't possible now - how can i configure things so it is in the future?

    Hi David,

You will need to change the IP addresses of both the nameservers to switch all your domains from old VPS to the new VPS. You can PM me to assist you with this changeover or you can take help of our VPS Team members.

We will also forward A records and MX records of all your domains from the old VPS to the new VPS to avoid any sort of connection with old VPS once new visitors visit websites of your customers. We can also route traffic from the old VPS to the new VPS.

As I don't control the registration of some of my hosted domains, co-ordinating an update to all the nameserver records is a mighty pain.

What would be nice if the ip address of the ns1.myvspname.com could stay the same and the ip address that it serves up for each domain was the new ip address

Thanks for that offer of help - great service as always. I take you up on it when the co-ordination for step one is in place

    Hi David,

There seems to be some confusion here. You don't need to ask all your customers to change their nameservers. You need to change the IPs of your master nameservers which can be easily done. All domains will start resolving from the new server once the IPs are changed for your master nameservers.

Please message me on MSN or Skype as and when you find some time to discuss.
