Thread: Nominet Account

    Default Nominet Account

We at eUKhost have now introduced registration / transfer for .co.uk/.org.uk domains using our Nominet Account. Recently we came across customers requesting access details for their domains registered in our Nominet account in order to change contact details on their own.

If our customers wish to change the contact details for their .uk domains then they need to follow the below mentioned steps:-

1).Customers need to have Administrative email for there .co.uk domain.

    2) Each registrant has a Nominet control panel with basic functions (updating address and contact details, transfers, etc.). Usually once a .co.uk domain is registered using Nominet one email is sent to Administrative email ID through which customer can login to Nominet account (online) and manage the contact details from their end. If they don't have a password or have deleted the email they can use the lost password link at the bottom of the log-in page.

Below is the link using which a customer can enter the administrative email ID and click on “Reset your password”. Later on proceeding with it customer will receive an email from Nominet at the Administrative address containing link where the customer can enter password (alphanumeric) and login online with the same details.

    3) Once logged in to Nominet account, customer can change the contact details accordingly.

Does this mean cheaper .uk domains then?

Cost of .uk domains would remain the same. With Registrations/transfers of .uk domains directly from our Nominet account, the process would be much more quicker than before. Customers now also get a domain control panel interface where-in they can update their administrative email address and contact details themselves.

That really sounds good as slow domain transfer process do test the patience of both the owner and the new provider. It is a good sign for all those who plan to transfer their domains to eUKhost.
