    Default primary and addon domains

just a quick question, If I have a primary domain in Cpanel eg domain1, and I have 2 addon domains, domain2 and domain3.. if domain 1 expires (domain name not the hosting), will this stop 2 and 3 working?

all the domains nameservers point to the nameservers of the server, and are not forwarded to domain1....

    did that make sense... lol

    Hi Lance

Domain 2 and 3 will continue to function as normal even if Domain 1 expires.

    Hi Lance,

Your addon domains won't face any problems, but the sub-domains created for the addon domains based on the main domain will stop working. I hope you don't have any problem with those sub-domains.

They have different DNS zones entered in, they should only stop working if you are using a subdomain as an addon domain

    thanks for the replies..

though I should have looked first..... just went on memory of the account... seems my memory has had too much booze... lol

the domain 2 and 3 are parked domains onto domain1 (all point to the public_html folder, no sub domains involved)

so same applies again... if 1 expires, do 2 and 3 stop working ?

    Thanks again

2 and 3 should remain intact, unless you are using domain 1 as the nameserver domain.
