Angry Problems Transferring Domains with Enom

    Hi,

Tried this twice now and not sure what is going wrong.

I keep getting this message BUT my email address is registered with the current domain holder. Presumably the 'verification' email would be sent to me. I've not had it form the current registrars despite checking that the email is correct.

Also I've unlocked the TLD and the password is correct...

Am I correct in thinking the fault lies with the current registrars? The bitch is that I will now have to renew with them 'cos I,ve not got enough transfer time left....

Or have I got this all wrong?

    Any help/suggestions please?

    Cheers.

    Dear Customer:

Thank you for your recent transfer request. We want to let you know transfer

Does the e-mail address you are checking start with "julgrffth"?

    Hi,

Transfer approval email is being sent to julgrffth[@]aol.com. You can check following domain whois information for verification :-

Yer, thats what I was trying to say. If you arn't checking that address then thats why. And from the looks of it that looks like the e-mail address of your client rather than yourself (although I could be wrong!)

Smile I am such an idiot!

    Boy's,

Thanks for this it all suddenly becomes clear.

It is the Whois email address that is being referred to. I had assumed it would have been the email contact address for the current domain host. I had changed it to my own there as my client is not particularly good at responding (obviously). She let her site hosting expire despite three reminder emails and a letter from me.

I will have to make sure that she responds next time or else I cannot transfer it for her.

Thanks for your help. Sometimes a few words can just point us in the right direction.

    Kind regards.

No problem. Yes, the whois info is used for domain correspondance. If I'm correct the Admin & Technical contact get notifications via e-mail about the domains usually.

    Default EPP Key

A verification email will be sent to the registrant and the administrative contact(s) for the domain(s).

(As per ICANN Regulations, transfer verification will NOT be sent to technical, billing or other listed contacts for the domain name.)

I would request you to email the EPP Key at billing[@]eukhost.com and we will re-initiate transfer request for the domain.

Yes I have although the issue is my client not responding. I need to sort her out first.

Yeah, customers are the worst! They complain when their account gets suspended when you say it's because you haven't paid they go "I didn't get the email". You then log in to their account, show them the emails sent and then they look in their inbox and guess what, they're sat there waiting for a response!

Thats better than my current customer from hell.

Repeated reminders / warnings / final notices / final demands for payment. I give up, think I may cut my losses and delete the account without notice .

This is why in my T&Cs I have a clear outline of the timetable when things are overdue and what happens.

    I have now.

Well officially it says "DPS Web Services regrets to inform you that this website is currently unavailable and is sorry for any inconvience."

I'm very tempted to use the traffic from it (which isn't overly substantial) to give me, my sites and my advertisers a little exposure as compensation for the account bill which runs into 3 figures!
