Transfer a domain name OUT from EUK?

Further to the last thread I started on moving a website from here to another host it has now been decided that the website and domain name in question will be transferred to another webhost completely.

The website itself is a static XHTML based one so there should be no issues there, no database to move or backup so I'll simply give the XHTML files to the person who will be hosting and looking after the new site. The email accounts set up I'm thinking will be fine if they are just left "as is" during the transfer and then the person concerned at the other end can just set them back up again with the new details of their own hosting.

So, can someone furnish me with the details of how I go about transferring the domain to a new person please?. Thanks.

Domain transfer is not automated in our billing system. I would request you to send an email to billing@eukhost.com from your registered email address. We'll provide you the EPP code and other details immediately.

Once you provide EPP code to your registrar, they have 5 days to respond. They will initiate domain transfer from their end. You just need to wait for their email.

Thats right. You just need to provide them EPP code.

You can just send an email requesting information.

Ok, I did as requested and asked billing for an EPP key. I have just this minute received this email :-

Note: The transfer authorization (or EPP) key is a security key generated by the current registrar and verified through the global registries for validity. These keys are updated periodically for security reasons, thus this key will be valid for an indeterminate period of time.

As this is an automated response to provide an EPP code, please do not reply to this email.

What do I do now folks?. Just email the EPP key to the person I wish to transfer the domain name to?. Then what?.

Yes, you can email EPP code to the person whom you wish to transfer. His domain registrar will initiate transfer once they get the EPP code.

The EPP Key ( Authorization code ) which you received, must be forwarded to your New provider in order to initiate the transfer request for your domain. Domain transfer ( gTLD domains ) involves 5 to 7 working day's to get the transfer process completed.

Transfer process start's as soon the new provider initiate's the transfer request for your domain with the registrar panel. For more detail's, you may go through the url provided below ....

Just a quick reply to thank EUK staff who assisted me in this transfer. Everything went super smoothly and the domain concerned is now gone over to its new owner.

Glad to see it gone to be honest, the person/client concerned who I did the website for was a bit of a nightmare to deal with.
