Default BT Business Broadband - DNS Resolution problem

    Hi,
A couple of my customers have been complaining today that they cannot access their websites or email. The problem only seems to be affecting the .co.uk domain names hosted on my VPS server.

I could access the websites from home, but at work I have the same problem accessing them from BT Business Broadband.

Each of the affected customers is also with BT Business Broadband.

Then I came across this post mentioning that there may be a problem somewhere between BT Business Broadband and eukhost hosted websites.

Are you aware of this issue? Is there anything that can be done?

The IP address of the server can be pinged, but when trying to access a website by name, there appears to be an issue with DNS resolution somewhere along the line.

Also having the same problems. Email and we not accessible when using BT nameservers. OK when using google.

BT seem to be shifting the blame and saying it is an EUKHOST problem.

As this concerns a lots of people with servers at EUKHOSTS and their customers, why has this not be raised by EUKHOST to BT.

In effect (irrespective of where the fault lies) BT are blocking access to EUKHOST servers.

see this thread in BT forums .... Websites unavailable and DNS Problems - BTCare Community Forums

please can EUKHOST get on to BT about this please
