    Default crontab permissions are wrong

I have a warning when I want to add a cron in cPanel account cron link
/usr/bin/crontab permissions are wrong (6755). Please set to 4755
After setting up a cron I get the email from Cron Daemon saying Cron Access Denied...

Is this something I can change or will it need to be changed by tech support
Please direct me to the area where I am able to do this task

    Thank you
    Andrew

    Default

    Hello Andrew,

I have set the permission of /usr/bin/crontab to 4755.

You can set the permissions of /usr/bin/crontab to 4755 from command line with following command ::

    root@host [~]# chmod 4755 /usr/bin/crontab

Feel free to contact us at vps@eukhost.com if you need any further assistance.
