Hi,
I have an ongoing problem that seems to be going nowhere (ticket ID AMO-98424-203)
There are 2 main problems, I don't know if they are linked or not, so I will put them both down and see where we go.
OK, we are having trouble getting emails from systems, I think all normal emails are getting received OK although no way to verify this.
We have a customer that has a VOIP provider, and they have it set to send out their voice mails and fax to emails as an attachment by email. None of these get received, we have some logs and these state 451 the server has reached it's limit for processing requests from your host
451 please try again later
connection closed by foreign host
(logs from their system not ours)
So I check to in the firewall to make sure their IP is not in there and it's clear.
I bring this up in a ticket and get told that some stuff has been done and should be OK. We get the customer to check and still got same problem, and would seem they have never got the system emails (only set up for 2 weeks) so I start to make the assumption that it could be a problem at their end, well we also have a VOIP system (we sell some VOIP services if anyone is interested, plug, plug) so we change the delivery address (that we know works) to one of our own email address's on the VPS, and guess what, it does not receive the email???? So we know it's not a problem with the third party application.
I go onto live chat and after getting a little run around I get passed over to someone else, and they are going to look at it. I could not wait on line any longer (had to go to meeting) so I said I would leave it with them, and if they could update the ticket, well I have just checked, and the ticket is marked as closed but no other update.
OK, other issue, and don't know if its linked or not.
We also use WHMCS (The same thing that eukhosts now use) now when there is a payment made or a subscription payment collected, paypal would send out the emails and the WHMCS would get updated with the details, well since we had the server "locked down" by your support people due to it being lapse on security and getting the fake paypal websites uploaded to our customers, this no longer works.
So lets see if posting this in here can help.
Cheers in advance.
