    Default File permission issue

    Hi all

I've just had my small dedicated server migrated over to a VPS.

Many of the permissions on files were changed, for some reason, during the migration. eg files which should be 777 are 644 etc.

I've logged into my VPS with Filezilla and tried to change the values but I get a message "550 Could not change perms on xxxx.txt: Operation not permitted".

It would seem to be an ownership issue of some sort?

Anyone got a clue... I did submit a ticket but expect they're busy?

    Cheers for any ideas...
    Cheers

    Hi Rossie

I did mention my ticket in my post
... I did submit a ticket but expect they're busy?
I just hoped to save them the effort if one of the forum guru's had a quick solution, as they often do!

I'll wait on the ticket then... thanks.

EUKLHost is really attentive for their customers. Online support is the number one reason why people leave or stay with the hosting company.
