    Default Limit max email for specific account?

    On a cPanel/WHM VPS, is there any way to limit the maximum number of emails a specific user can send per hour? I know that there's a way to set a global limit, but what about for a specific user only, as I don't want to impose the same limits on every account?

    Hello Mitchell,

    This can be done by editing /var/cpanel/maxemails in SSH.
    Add entries as in that files as,
    domain.com=XX
    Where domain.com is the name of the domain for which limits are being set and "XX" is the number, which you want to allow for that domain. Set "XX" to 0 if you wish to set it to unlimited.

    But please make sure that you have executed the following script after updating the file /var/cpanel/maxemails.
    /scripts/build_maxemails_config

    Thanks, Rsync! That did it nicely. Don't know why cPanel / WHM doesn't allow you to do that straight from the control panel, but at least it is possible. Thanks again!

    Hello Mitchell,

    Yes, you are right. But there are some features provided by cpanel which needs to be set manually by editing the necessary files through SSH. Anyways, Eukhost is always here to assist you in such issues.
