    Default No UK tech support?

I have a bit of an issue to resolve which I couldnt seem to get across properly on live chat so I've called tech support and got a lady who bless her was very polite but could barely understand English?

    Most dissapointing.

Is there any way I can speak to someone in UK tech support?

I have an issue with a second domain I have added to my VPS account which we cannot get the domain to resolve.

    My primary account is meganesport.net

    Thanks.

    Hello Jonathan

I have checked dns records of your other site "worldsaparts.co.uk" and noticed that it was pointing to your private nameservers ns1.meganesport.net and ns2.meganesport.net with it’s registrar.

Now it has been pointed to default nameserver of your vps, ns.1479.ukvpshosting.com and ns2.1480.ukvpshosting.com.
Please correct the nameservers with the help of domain's registrar as per following.

    ns.1479.ukvpshosting.com >> ns1479.ukvpshosting.com
    ns2.1480.ukvpshosting.com >> ns1480.ukvpshosting.com

FYI, It will take now minimum 8 to 24 hours for the name server records to update and propagate.

    Hi meganesport

From what I understand during my short time with EUKHost is that they have UK support and in late afternoon/eve you often get US support and late night and very early morning you do get India.

It varies. I find that some support staff are excellent, others are not so good, sometimes if you cut off live chat and go back in you get someone you remember as being good,

    Never used phone support

    Thumbs up Hello

    Hello,

Yes, we have our owned office in India and Durham, some of our staff members are based in Leeds and some work from the Datacenter in Maidenhead.

Between UK office hours you will be able to speak with someone in the UK. As work allows, sometimes this will be available in off peak hours. Live chat is also divided between the UK and India. There isn't a difference in terms of the support level offered.

Our Quality Assurance Department is continuously developing and making arrangements for enhancing the quality of our support, also taking staff trainings and compliance with the requirements of the quality assurance management. You will definitely find improvement day by day.

Please feel free to contact our Phone Support.

    Best Regards,

I have also experienced varying levels of Live Chat support, from absolutely brilliant/fantastic, to completely dismal a few times and the person doesn't seem to understand English at all (and keeps repeating his earlier comments when I ask a new question).

Luckily the vast majority of the Live Chat support for me has been extremely good for me lately, but my initial impressions were very bad (as mentioned above).

I have tried phone support a few times, but they appear to be Level 1 support only, and refer me to email support for any real issues (a bit worrying if the issue were to be really urgent).

However the email VPS support is really good!

Strange, as a few months ago I asked if eUKhost had Support in India and they said NO !

    No problems but ...

I had one of our websites with a server error from the day after we were in a short holiday - a few days and found out only today.

Although I like to keep an eye to our websites I forgot to check this one and after they 'fixed it' I asked what the problem was and why for 4 days!

    No reply.

I also noticed the IP that logged in our cPanel was from India.
Although they were fast to fix the problem, I did not get a reply.

Strangely enough it has been a while I get offers from India to 'fix' our website Search Engine Optimization.

    What is going on?

Why do they use British names all the times? Is there anything to hide?
    I do not understand it.

The news is that you are hiding something from us, as I noticed yesterday and today the India's IP logged in during UK standard office times - like now!

I had one website off for 4 days and now since yesterday I have a mess with another website I cannot longer work with.

    What is going on?

Every time support logs in I get the htaccess files -bak [and they are and were working fine] and I am not informed of it.

We all know the purpose of a htaccess file and if eukhost support does that, you leave our website open to threats and I cannot keep checking you did not change anything of my settings all the time!

Directory password protection is at present S**T and the other day that website down for 4 days was 'I was told' due to a mis-configuration of the cPanel due to a automated update!

    Come oooon!
