    Default Optimizing my VPS

I have a 512 MB cPanel VPS not with eukhost but with another host and I would like to know what measures should I take to save a bit more RAM on my server. I am not familiar with the server configurations, so please suggest me properly. I don't want the changes to be messed up with my server and create a headache for me and the web host.

How to Optimize my virtual private server for better performance ?

Before you make any changes to your VPS, it is suggested to take backups of your existing my.cnf & httpd.conf files.

You must have the latest version of PHP, Zend Optimizer, Eaccelerator & Ioncube Accelerator. And ofcourse, not to forget the latest version of Apache

    Hi,

    1. You'll just need to Optimize your WHM which can be done much more by option Tweak Settings, ConfigServer Security&Firewall etc.
You can Perform a basic security, stability and settings check on the server through ConfigServer Security&Firewall by running "Check server security" tab.

    2. Optimize, all the service configuration like httpd.conf, exim.conf, php.ini, my.cnf etc.

This will be more than enough to secure the server and you'll for sure save a bit more on RAM...
