Thread: Tomcat Shutdown

    Default Tomcat Shutdown

Can you advise me how the Apache Tomcat service on my VPS came to be shutdown on the evening of 16/03 and not restarted?

I have not touched this VPS for some time and in my experience the Tomcat service does not simply stop for no reason.

    Thank you.

    Hi Alan..

You can check the server application/system logs for the exact reasons which stopped the Tomcat services on your server.. The application & system logs contain events logged by programs & system components.

To open the Event Viewer, click Start > Run & type in "eventvwr" & press enter.. The Application, Security, and System logs are displayed here.

    * In the console tree, expand Event Viewer, and then click the log that contains the event that you want to view.
    * In the details pane, double-click the event that you want to view.

The Event Properties dialog box containing header information and a description of the event would be displayed..
