    Default VPS? more like shared..

    Hi this is my first post in the forum,

    Like a few other people I've noticed, I have had to raise this thread due to my lack of support from the host. Saying that I also get some kind of response and they are very patient and seem to do their best. I'm just not sure of the whole ethos around eukhost.

    To put it quite bluntly I currently have Dreamhost Shared hosting account and it outperforms my eukhost VPS account. How is that possible?

    My website constantly lags and every time I inquire about it the http service is reset and i'm told to check again. Other times im told someone was abusing the node and it has been sorted. So much so that back at Christmas they moved me to a new one. Despite this I still get the problems, on testing today my site took 27seconds to load up. I'm not being funny but who is going to wait that long? And that's just to get to the homepage never mind going through multiple pages and then the checkout process..

    I totally understand i'm not on a dedicated server, however I shouldn't be having such problems with VPS and I should at least get what I'm paying for.

    I really don't like posting negative things about anyone/anything but one thing I can say is that the support team are always there to do what they can. It's just I don't see an end to these issues at the moment and it's pushing me away.

    Hopefully someone can figure this out for me.

    Here was my response:

    We are apologize for the inconvenience faced by you, There was load on Node server on which your VPS is hosted. The load average is normal now. Please refresh your web-browser, browser the websites and confirm the same.

    I have been getting the same replies on Livechat the last several times. I used to stand by EUKHost, the support was fantastic and the servers fast, not to mention stable. However over the past year I have noticed support, stability and speed decreasing. So much so I will be looking for possible alternatives.

    Like I said, have been getting exactly the same reply as you which is rubbish, and feel I am not valued as a customer.

    Hello,

    You have not registered on the forum with your registered email address due to which I am unable to locate your VPS. Can you please PM me your VPS IP on which you were facing problems so that I can investigate on it and update you with full details. Please provide me the ticket number also so that I am able to check the issue and the investigation done by the other admins.

    As per your PM, I have investigated on your issue and optimized your vps. I have also done some setting on main hardware node, in this optimization process I have to reboot your VPS. Now you will get good performance and not face any problem with your VPS. Please monitor the performance of your VPS and let me know the results of it.

    Thanks Rsync,

    Since the changes the site has been working brilliantly. I'll monitor it over the coming weeks to ensure this is not just a coincidence.

    I have already raised a ticket, after giving up with livechat. Thought problem had been solved and back it comes today. Ticket is #FMU-69538-989. I was replying to the original poster with regards to his experience with support on LiveChat. I set a sep. thread for my specific issue: http://www.eukhost.com/forums/f29/server-fail-13530/
