So, I have a VPS package with EUK, its behaved fine with the domains I have on it, until trying to add two south african (co.za) domains...
For whatever reason, co.za requires two nameservers that are both from a different IP range - after a week of live chat, this finally came to light. I was advised by euk that it was not a problem, and I just needed to purchase a new IP address. Billing live chat created the invoice for me, with a note saying a different range was required. I was charged 20 pounds, only to get a response a while later that no ip addresses were available in a different range...
I'm now stuck with a client website thats been down for ages because I am unable to point the domain at my vps server. No one on live chat seems particularly bothered about my predicament, and the suggestion of telling the co.za registrar to make use of their nameservers to point my ip will mostly likely result in nothing.
Surely this shouldn't be such a complicated problem to solve, and surely i shouldn't be charged 20 pounds for an IP helps me bugger all.
I've always had good experiences with eukhost - I infact suggested eukhost to a company i work for which has to move a .co.za in about 2 days time, to a brand new vps package that will not work... won't I look clever when that happens?
Please, is there no solution eukhost can offer me? I used to host a .co.za domain with a standard windows eukhost package - that worked fine - I've now paid how many times the price to not be able to host domains that I could on a cheap simple package. Please, I beg of you find me a solution other than pointing the finger at the registrar, this puts me and my business in a bad light. I am most displeased
P.S why is VPS support merged with normal Windows support - it blows...
