Migration to dedicated

We currently an e-commerce site host on a semi-dedicated server and are now wanting to improve hosting performance. At present we run linux semidedicated with guaranteed 2GB ram

I'm looking at the eUK3430 servver option. We would host a couple of MySQL/php driven sites on this - presumably this would offer a better performance than we have currently?

Would need existing site migrated with minimum downtime. How efficiently could this be done?

Dear Baz,

Glad to know that you wish to upgrade to the eUK X3430 dedicated server. Along with the eCommerce website you can host other MySQL and PHP based websites on the same server. eUK X3430 is a Quad Core dedicated server available with minimum 4 GB RAM, the performance would definitely be better than the semi-dedicated server. You also have an option to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB.

We will transfer all your data from the semi-dedicated to the eUK X3430 server. During the transfer process your website will be accessible from the semi-dedicated server. Once all the data is transferred on to the dedicated server and the name servers are pointed to the dedicated server, your website would start resolving from the X3430 server. We will ensure that there's minimum downtime during this process.
