SQL Server on semi-dedicated

Hi,

If I purchase a semi-dedicated server can I install my existing licenced copy of SQL Server 2005 Standard rather than having purchase on a monthly basis through you? And would I have full admin rights? e.g. ability to run automated procedures etc?

Yep.. there'd be no problems with either of them, you'd be able to install the DB server & run the automated procedures

Yeah.
On our semi-Dedicated Server you will have full Administrator access where you can install your own database server without any restriction,all you have to do is watch your disk space and resources

I appreciate the EUK guys, haven't seen such pro-activeness anywhere. They are more than happy to help you out in installing your softwares, applications etc. without charging a penny.

This is a Great Customer Service. I guess this must be one of the reasons why customers do not hunt for any other host after using EUK's services.

Many thanks for the replies, will be upgrading from my bronze shared sever shortly. Agree, Eukhost (& forum) support is excellent.

Out of interest I emailed a couple of other providers a similar question, haven't heard back from either after 48 hours...They were a similar price for a dedicated server (rather than semi), but no point sacrificing support for cost, false economy in the long run!!
