    Default What companies produce servers?

    Can you tell me what companies produce web servers that are used for hosting websites? I've seen eUKhost uses Dell and HP servers, but are there any other companies that produce them?

    I'm not talking about Intel and AMD, who just make the processors that are used on the servers, but rather about the actual server manufacturers...

    Another 1 is SuperMicro which is used for our recently launched D525 Atom server. Supermicro's product philosophy is primarily based on green computing leadership and system design expertise on performance and power saving technologies which can also be called as eco-friendly technology and seems quite interesting.

    I've heard that Toshiba and Fujitsu-Siemens produce servers as well, but I'm not very certain about it. I'm puzzled as to why other companies don't get involved in server manufacturing...

    I've never heard about SuperMicro, to be honest. Are their servers used for web hosting? I've yet to come across a company that uses anything else except for Dell, HP and IBM...

    As far as I know, most of the companies assemble parts from different companies and hence they are not involved into servers. Dell and HP have all the products developed by themselves (except the processors) and hence they provide servers.

    SuperMicro does offer servers and they are used for web hosting. Though, they aren't too old in this business, their servers are still good in performance. Our eUK D525 dedicated server is a SuperMicro server
