Unhappy 'Mailbox exceeded its quota' problem

    Hi,

A couple of clients have been experiencing 'mailbox exceeded its quota' messages which means their mail is locked up. Even when you empty the mailbox the message still persists so does the quota refer to the traffic per month? How can I avoid this happening, is it down to sheer quantity of junk mail...?

Hi Steve, for which domain & specific mailboxes are you facing this problems with? The error 'mailbox exceeded its quota' is for exceeding the disk space usage allocated to those specific mailboxes..

Hi, it's for 'info at 50-67.com' I've put in a support request and waiting to hear back.

That mailbox has 40MB disk space allocated to it, out of which 30.06MB is being used at the moment. The inbox only has 7 emails within it, but other folders which are created from IMAP contain most of the data. I've sent a test email to that address & it has reached without any bounce back messages as stated in your earlier post.

Aaah, folders! I think I'd better introduce them to Mozilla Thunderbird. Thanks.
