    Default domain registering/Billing Software

    Hi,
I have upgraded my account to windows reseller and am now looking at setting this all up. I would like to add an automated registering/billing section to my web web site hosting , but am not getting much help from support. I looked at whoiscart , but support told me this wont work with my server!

    Can anybody help please?

    Cheers

Check out WHMCS (http://whmcs.com). That works on any platform and should be what you need. It also has a built in support centre which is pretty advanced. For cheaper licneses for it go to http://licensepal.com - you can pick up a leased license there for about £6/month.

    Hi,
Thanks for that. Just had a quick look at the demo and it seems limited on the extensions (.com etc) . I would be looking for .co.uk if possible? Do you know if it will do this?

    Cheers

It's not limited with the extensions - it's unlimited! You can add as many different extensions as you want providing that the registrar that you use supports them.

I am also currently looking into this software at the moment as well so I will pass on my experiences of it if I get it before you or you opt for another piece of software .

I went and bought an owned copy (I hate recurring licenses) and I've found it pretty easy to use. It's a shame most people think it has to be tied to a server for CP purposes, and that it can only be used for webhosting billing when in fact both those theories are bs. I have built a custom loginshare module for Kayako so that clients can use their WHMCS login with my Kayako eSupport installation.

If you don't have such a big budget then you can always opt for ClientExec - never really touched it myself but it looks pretty good.

It seems to be geared towards linux servers. I am trying to install the ioncube windows drivers but am struggling at the minute. Any advice would be appreciated.

Get the drop in ones. All you have to do is copy and paste the required ioncube files into the directory of the WHMCS install. That should work - if it doesn't then just open a ticket with support.
